2009 District Awards

Who has been outstanding this past year severing the youth in our District in the categories listed below? They need to be recognized. Please complete the information for that individual and share it with the Recognition Committee.

Silver Bullet – People who are always there to encourage, take on tasks for their unit or the district. They are exceptional folks who go WAY beyond their position in Scouting.

Golden Spur – Given to a nominee who has spurred Scouters and Scouts on to greater heights.

Acorn to Oaks – For a Commissioner who worked with a unit get it started or revitalize an existing unit to an effective unit.

Golden Eagle – Life time achievement for service to the district.

District Award of Merit
• Be a registered Scouter (at least five years recommended).
• Have tendered noteworthy serviced to Scouts. The nature and value of “noteworthy service to Scouts” may consist of a single plan or decisions that contributed vitally to the lives of large numbers of Scouts or it may have been given to a small group over an extended period of time.
• Have contributed some service to youth outside of Scouting.
