Attention Merit Badge Counselors

The deadline to renew your Merit Badge Counselor registration is fast approaching.  Dave Fencil needs your renewal no later than November 22nd so he can have the list to council by December 1st.  If he doesn’t receive your renewal by November 22nd, you will be removed from the Merit Badge Counselor list and National will require you to start over with a new adult application and info sheet.  That’s more work for you, Dave Fencil, and for the District Office.  So please renew now!

Scouting for Food

Boy Scout Councils throughout Los Angeles and Orange County are coordinating a Food Drive in cooperation with local Food Banks & Pantries. As an organization, the Boy Scouts of America has made a strong commitment to help disadvantaged communities through a food drive called “Scouting for Food.” This “Good Turn for America” will take place between Saturday, November 7, 2009 and Sunday, November 15, 2009.

Next Re-Chartering Training Session

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to last Thursday’s Re-Charter Training meeting.
Below is the list of units that did not attend:

Crews: 119, 583, 611

These units can pick up their recharter packets at this Thursday’s Roundtable, Nov. 5th, where training will again be given!
