Carousel Ranch

July 20, 2009 by Webmaster

Dear Scout Troops,

Carousel Ranch is a non-profit organization that provides therapeutic riding lessons to children with special needs. We have been offering our services to over 90 children for 13 years.

On August 29 we will be hosting our annual event, Heart of the West. Hopefully we will have a great turn-out like last year when we served over 700 guests.

We need your help on Sunday, August 30 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm to help us stack chairs and tables, empty sandbags, pack boxes and tubs and then load them into trucks. Hours are flexible. Staff gets there in the morning and stay until the work is done.

We could use as many as 20 young men from the ages of 12 to 18. Troop leaders are welcome to pitch in too.

The location is 15142 W. Sierra Hwy, Canyon Country. I have attached directions.

Basically you follow Sierra Hwy up past Soledad Canyon Rd, past Vasquez Canyon Rd, and then it is only about a mile further up the road. There will still be signage out.

Donuts and juice will be provided as well as water. Bring a lunch or snacks.

Wear sunscreen and hats!

Please fill out one group volunteer form per troop. The form can be e-mailed back to me, or sent by mail to Carousel Ranch.
