New BSA Annual Health and Medical Record

Boy Scouts of America has a new Annual Health and Medical Record. This form replaces the Class 1, 2, and 3 forms and should be used starting now! If you have the old forms you may use them until January 1st, 2010, but we highly suggest that you use the new form. After January 1st, 2010 only the NEW Annual Health and Medical Record will be allowed.

THIS FORM IS ONLY GOOD FOR ONE CALENDAR YEAR. The form is for both youth and adults. For more information you need to go to http://www.scouting.org/HealthandSafety.aspx then scroll down the page to near the bottom to the Forms section. You can download the new medical form and you can review the FAQ’s. Be sure to look at this now before your unit has its summer camp and passes out the physical forms.

Life Scouts, are you planning your Eagle project? Have you already started? We need your help. SCVTV and the Bill Hart District want to interview you and film your service project. Selected projects will be featured on the Bill Hart website, the SCVTV website and may even air on Public Access Channel 20. If you’re planning or starting your project please contact us right away. We wont be able to cover every project so be sure to tell us why YOURS deserves to featured.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Don’t Let This Happen To You!

It is extremely important that all youth participating in your units during 2008 are registered for the year 2008. If you currently have youth applications for new boys, we need you to turn those in immediately. Recently we have encountered some unfortunate circumstance for the boys because they are not officially registered with the unit. DO NOT hold on to new youth registrations because charter renewal is approaching. Please get your new youth applications in now.

If you have a youth participating in your program and he is not registered he -

1. Is not covered by the Insurance provisions provided by the BSA
2. Will not be credited with Participation, Awards or Leadership Positions.
3. Will not receive Rank Advancement earned.
