The Bill Hart District is off to yet another record setting year of Popcorn Sales. In 2007 our District reached total sales of $298,385. So far in 2008 our District has submitted Show and Sale orders of $294,010.
We are currently on target to reach the 2008 benchmark of $400,000.00!
Units arrived to pick up this years supply of Show and Sell popcorn on Saturday, September 6th and several units were out boothing later that very day. The energy was contagious as the 2,936 cases of popcorn were quickly loaded into vans, trucks, cars and trailers heading off to the units.
When units need additional popcorn they will be able to access it very easily this year. Greg Basse has donated his company’s warehouse to store extra cases for distribution to units who need more. Units requiring more popcorn should contact Terry Duffy at (661) 312-0851 to schedule pick up of additional popcorn.
Scouts from the Bill Hart District will be very visible in our community for the next month selling popcorn. Please support their efforts. Each box of popcorn sold brings each boy closer to summer camping and brings units one step closer to funding another year of fun through Scouting.
Our District goal is for every unit to participate in the 2008 Popcorn Campaign. There is still plenty of time for units to gear up for Take Order popcorn sales. It is a great (and simple) way to earn money for your unit activities and for boys to earn prizes and funding for Camp!
